Masking probably.
eg. White stripes on red car.
Paint the white first, then lay down strips of masking tape (once the white is properly dried), cut them carefully, then lay them on the model for the stripes. Then paint the red, and remove the masking tape before the paint is dry. That should work, maybe someone has a better idea. I hope that made sense, I'm too tired to go into more detail
