Cars and trucks could be more fuel efficient for their respective size and weight classes than they actually are but the government won't impose tighter EPA standards.
Back in the 1990's, a large comfy Buick 3.8L Supercharged approached 30 mph on the highway. Automobile manufacturers could do things if they'd only put their collective minds to it.
