Hey,
I had a rear main seal leak on my pickup that I didn't want to tackle. I bungeed a bread pan under there to catch the drips. You can drop it occasionally and drain the pan, or put a plug in the pan. Sounds goofy but it saved me dropping transfer cases and trannies and stuff
Another idea, if the underside configuration allows, is to cut a jug in half and bungee the top half upside down. You can just unscrew the cap to drain the collected drips. It's all dependant on where the drips are. The proximity to the exhaust is why I switched to the bread pad... it doesn't melt
