Re: SERIOUSLY OT: Calling all chicks! IT'S PART 6!!

I got contacted yet again and now have an interview scheduled at Boeing. Its kind of funny now that I think about it because once I go through the Boeing interview I will have interviewed with 3 different companies in the same business park. I also worked in the business park on 2 (technically 3) occasions, technically for 2 companies, but really the same company twice.

One interview was for inventory management. I was passed over for someone with more experience in the field. One was for a shift supervisor. I was passed over for someone just because they had a degree. Their degree had nothing to do with the position, and I guess it came back to burn them because that person screwed a bunch of stuff up.

Due to that I don't want to get my hopes up, but honestly am overqualified for the position. My resume seems to have impressed people in the past too. When I lost my job back in 2015 I had to attend a course at the unemployment office that was supposed to help in learning ways to get reemployed.

My brother lost his job at the same time and had to take the same class. I was busting his balls about his resume looking not so great. At the end of the class the instructors came to each of us one by one to look over resumes and answer any questions. The instructor came to me, looked at my resume, then asked "Who did this resume for you?"

I was just like, "Uh, I did" He laughed and said, "You obviously didn't need this class. Your resume has a great format and your work history shows you shouldn't have a problem finding new employment." My brother looks at me and says "You wanna help me redo my resume?"

When I interviewed for the job I ended up getting after that I handed my resume to the GM and Shop Manager. The GM asks "Who did this resume for you?" I answered "I did." He laughed and said, "Well I know who can help us do reports around here." This was before I was even asked any other questions.

Rambled enough. Fingers crossed.
