There is no transmission range sensor or park/neutral safety switch on your MKZ. The Transmission control switch signals the PCM with what the desired gear selection is, the PCM then communicates with the transmission and the starter relay within the Battery Junction Box to satisfy the function that used to be performed with the neutral safety switch.
