Look at the fuse for the cig lighter (accessory labeled?) probably a 20 amp fuse-- but the connection where you tap into the lighter- the pin point contact of the plug spring-loaded touching the brass inside the plug will be just a pressure contact. and will most likely overheat due to minimal contact, and start arcing inside and eventually melt the plastic around it. I do not advise you use this as your 12vdc source- instead use a heavy wire with a bolt down terminal end on it to attach directly to a fuse or fusible link- or an open spot in your fusebox.
