Since the whole thing is just bolted in, it's easier to remove the whole regulator/with motor, and then replace the motor.....remove trim and water deflector.....loosen bolts that clamp the window to the regulator....hold window up with tape or suction cups......disconnect motor harness,,,unbolt the regulator, and remove from large hole in door....
Funny GM does not give a procedure for replacing the motor, just the whole regulator...
I usually see the cable/regulator gear go before the motor, maybe that's why they change the whole thing....big difference in price though....
