As you can tell I have a 2001 300m and it just started to do this thing where it wont go into park. It becomes a hassle of 20 mins of tossing (over reacting) my gear shifter into park to have it sometimes work.
there have been times that I haven't been able to get in park so I bring a brick with me and use my parking break to make sure it doesn't move leaving it in neutral. which I cant do that too much longer as my battery wont last.
Otherwise it drives and shifts fine for how old it is 225k on the odometer. I know it's time I should look into a new car but that money isn't available to me at the moment.
any ideas as to what this issue is? also is it a fix that I can do or is it one that will need to be done at a shop?
