your misinformed on your information. they no longer make r12. they stopped using that in the early 90s. r134 is in all newer vehicles and every shop that does a/c uses it. I'm a mechanic in Canada so I know about this. you can't mix them. if you go into Canadian tire or napa, they sell cans of refrigerant that say something like r12 them, but that's just an aftermarket designation, you can use those to top up the r134 system. but its best to just take it to a shop that does a/c and get your a/c recharged.
