If your Equinox is equipped with RPO code UW6 (6-speaker audio system) the subwoofer is only used as an active noise cancellation device to reduce audible powertrain/drivetrain noise in the cabin. It is not used with the radio at all. This is applicable to all 2010-2015 Equinox & Terrain w/2.4L engine according to TSB

The door speakers are 6.75" round. You will need
these adapters to install new speakers.
