Deciding to buy C5 corvette, a 1987 MB 560SL or lease 2014 SL550

My first post is confusing. I have found a 1997 black C5 vette 6spd convertible , 50k miles, perfect shape, fun, easy mainly because it's a chevy. Also found 1987 MB 560 SL Petrol blue green on tan, 101k miles. Beautiful with prepurchase inspection on Monday. Both prices within $4000. Either would be cash purchase. BUT I also found a 2014 SL 550 with just about everything imaginable. But they want to lease for 2 years for $500 a month. At the end of 24 months I have spent $12k with nothing to show for it except driving a $100000 car under warranty for 2 years.
So, advice please!!! I love the vette but it is not a collector and not a classics nor new. Fun. I love the 560 SL, a classic increasing in value but how much will repairs be in the future?? And the twin turbo SL550 is amazing machine but maybe too showy for an old guy not in midlife crisis.

What's the best advice one can give this old guy??? Thanks!
