I'm going to be honest here guys, I'm not sure what I did to fix it, but I was able to get it working. I disconnected the coil rod from the side of the carburetor, and removed the coil, rod, and cover to inspect it closer. I did not see anything out the ordinary so I just put it back on. Upon replacing it, it is now holding tension. Looks exactly the same as it did before. It's quite possible that I just had it twisted or placed oddly enough for it to not work anymore. Maybe the coil was pressed upside down and upon removing it, it was able to stand upright again. Thanks for the advice though
