Cool Minus-Sizing Tires - But Not What You Think

Minus-Sizing tires is something one usually does if they have low profile(60-series or under) tires and want better traction in winter.

For me, that will be just a side benefit. I want to minus-size to improve on center feel, and REDUCE sensitivity to steering wheel inputs and road imperfections that tend to tug easily at low-profile tire/wide rim combos.

Will I get the results I want? Car is a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Ltd, 2.4L 4, and factory tire size: P215/55-R17.

Looking to minus size to 16" wheels, with a 60 or 65-series profile tire. Will this help achieve what I am after?
