I do deal with some hybrids that run in excess of 350vdc that'll do some damage. And then yeah, there's Tesla... But both the hybrids and Tesla's are typically sealed systems, that can also detect insulator failure and disconnect the batteries from the rest of the system.
Home electricity doesn't have very good safeguards, by comparison ;-)
I could get shocked by a 115 or 230 outlet all day long, without tripping the breaker.
It'll be funny if Tesla does trucks. They haven't even figured out how to do cars yet.
