Glad I just joined AF. The Studebaker V8 was made in 50 or 51. It has a high nickel content block that was used until the 1964 model year. They are not Ford engines. They compete very well at Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags or you can modify them to get over 500hp from the 304cu inch block. The trans is a three speed with second gear start. Parts are readily available. The Studebaker Drivers Club has over 13,000 members.
