Fuel System Parts Problem

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right sub-forum to post; although this particular issue is causing me a big problem of not having any transportation.

I have to replace the fuel-tank on my 98 Bravada. Unlike most people who had the fuel-pump fail, my tank rusted out before that happened; actually failed state inspection. As I have a seriously bad back; I was having some assistance dealing with removing and replacing the tank; except this person got a little impatient and tried to drop the tank before disconnecting anything.

So, that has not only made the cost of my repair practically double (which I still get to pay for, imagine that); but they also broke some mystery part that no one at any auto-parts place knows; and I've not found it on any online parts retailer. The piece that broke off connects to the fuel-pump; I don't know where the other two ends of the things ultimately wind up. I don't have the shop manual, and my Chiltons is useless for this.

I've attached some pictures of this mystery part; if you require higher-resolution, please let me know; I did not want to post links on my first post. If anyone can tell me what this part is, even better if you have a GM part number; that'd be great. I'm almost getting the feeling I'll have to get it from the dealer; which could cost who knows how much. But I'd like to find an alternative.

The person that broke it said "Oh, I can JB Weld it;" but I think they've done enough "helping" already. It doesn't seem to be under high pressure given the fact it's plastic (or nylon) and had spring clips connected to the other ends.

Thanks.
