63k miles on it and the transmission is no good... kind of says it all doesn't it?
In the future I would recommend avoiding old 4cyl mustangs. They're problematic in many ways, that's just a simple fact. The only one I can think of that was worse than the lx model was the mustang II.
As for your mustang, consider it totalled. A mustang lx with a bad transmission is worthless.
