drop the behind glove box blower motor and resistors .. your vehicle has a GM defective connector there.. you will see burnt wires/connector..
the temperature is controlled by stepper motors.. one on each side with your dual control. these can stick/bind.. I used some washers very small thin , to make some space so the assy sets off the vent box a small amount. It can also be internal debris in the air box.
