Re: display lights out

I've got a similar (sort of) problem in our Toyota. In it, some of the led display lights for fan speed control, part of the dash lighting and a few other things doesn't come on immediately when you turn the lights on. Eventually they all come on at the same time. This indicates to me there is a bad connection someplace. Yours too probably. My guess for mine would be a break in the ground. (just a guess though) Now I could pull the panels, clean all the connections and see if that fixes it. (you never know though, it might also make it worse) That is, assuming I care to fool with it at all. Unfortunately, the problem could be anywhere. This is why repair shops most always replace everything. So, I guess what I'm saying is to consider carefully weather or not it's worth the risk. Everything still functions now. It may not anymore if you try to fix it. Sorry I haven't got an easy answer for you but it's just the way things are made these days.
