I have two cars that need ac repair. I bought a Robinair 34800 Eviro Dual recovery/ recycling/ recharging machine off craigslist. It needed hoses since they were damaged by the owners dog. I've since discovered that it also needs a vacuum pump since it is missing as well. Now I'm trying to decide if it is worth it to invest it the parts I need or just sell it and go a different route. Does anyone have experience with this type of unit? I would like to know if I can use a comparable pump or if I have to use the exact model number replacement. The same goes for the hoses. The tech at Robinair was very helpful and emailed me the instruction manual. He said that I had to use the exact replacement hoses since newer hoses have valves in them and the ones I need don't. Your suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
