Also you may have noticed in S4 the walkers somehow developed a stealth mode where they can sneak up on anybody for a jump scare. But every time you SEE the fuckers they cant stop making those can opener sound effects. Shit like that pisses me off, but the show stays juuuuusst interesting enough for me to get past it

I have noticed that too. I guess its one of those things where at this point the walkers are almost just an element like weather. Its always there, theres nothing you can do about it. In that sense I feel its kinda ok for them to cheat the rules of the walkers a little, to move things along. I do find the ratio of walkers to humans to be absurd, and the sheer number of walkers to be insane as well- its like city density population everywhere they go.
