Re: Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster - Versace

Versace is back IN!!!

Trying to finally get this one over the line for forth cmoing national Show down here in NZ, only 10 days to go, so heres hoping!!!

anyway - Updates since last time

Body - Painted the satin black areas

The Interior - Been adding all the Photoetched parts, almost done, just seat belts to sort out & assemble

The Rear Lights - I was very dubious about this because I had to use the resin ones supplied with the Trans-kit. They are a little small for the area but there was nothing I could do, was worried about colour & clarity too with the very yellow clear resin. In the photo on top is the second pair I got, painted ones below. Overall reasonly happy with how clear they turned out. I 2K clearcoated them too

The Engine Bay
Like my 40th Murc I wasnt happy with the engine, Its way to big & has no detail to it! I compared it with Aoshima's SV engine & its at least 6mm too long!!!! So i made some quick basic head detail & worked away on the resin intake (again too small!!) & adding all the PE pieces that go in here.

The Brakes
This has been the biggest headache & most time consuming part of this build!! Each barke consists of 28 pieces + the plastic parts! there are 10 "bolts" that go into 10 "clips" That need to go into the 3 piece hub & 5 piece rotor!!! Increbly detailed!!!

& the Final score sports fans! I won!!! - best bit of advice I had was to do it all on a piece of A4 paper, tiny metal parts are much easier to find on white than Green boards & carpet!!!

Thats about it for now, will hopefully update this again very soon!!

Cheers, Ash
