I put a fuel pump in mine at ~140K just because I figured it was due; and I didn't want to be stranded as we had a cross-country trip in the near future.

Yours will be more expensive because you're replacing the whole in-tank assembly rather than just the fuel pump--but not any more labor.

While the tank is out, you'll want to verify that the wire harness is in usable condition, and that the gauge works properly when you manually move the in-tank float.
