How many miles do you have on the car? I ask because my 2000 CRV has 150k and still does not need rear brake shoes. When it comes to brakes, you get what you pay for. Most any shoes and pads will work, but the better ones will stop better, have less dust, and probably last longer. Be sure to put brake grease on the back of the pads to avoid squeaks and drain some of the brake fluid before compressing the rotors.
