Honda NSR500 Mugello 2001
There is a long story behind this build. For the last 10 years I have been offering to build a kit for my Daughter, and every time, she has asked for this bike! And for 10 years I have tried to put her off, because I know the Renaissance transkit is very very hard work, putting it mildly,
But it is her 21st this year, so I relented, and thought I would surprise her.
I have only ever seen one of these kits ever completed, and that is by a friend (Paul) also in our club, les Garagistes. The one advantage is that you get to know all the pit falls with the kit before you get to them, and there were loads and loads. It has to be one of the greatest liveries on a bike, shame Tamiya never bought it out as a kit (and the 2001 Bike)
I have been working on it for three Months, and didn’t want to start a thread before I was sure I could finish it. I will pace the updates, so you can follow the build, and all the problems on the way!
