Sorry for the late response. It was one little bolt that was gone from the linkage connection. The other one was about go fall out. Apparently the trans shop "forgot" to tighten them. Just like they forgot to replace to the subframe bolts they took off that were rusted apart along with the rubber bushings that fell apart into eraser sized crumbs. But they didn't forgot to charge me for it!
but thanks this worked! I don't know why I didn't pop the hood in the first place.
