You could always fab up your own open element filter, which when installed appears way more convincing than trying to replicate K&N pleating on plastic. Here are some bits I used to make an open element on a GT500 (on the right in the first pic). Just some basic styrene and aluminum tubing to make the filter body then painted and covered with hobby mesh.



Inner venturi funnel and some punched aluminum sheet


Finished with sensor
