Hell yeah. I once had a chance to have a connect with a local glass blower, but blew it. I was working at Pacific Sunwear at the time (don't fucking judge me, I knew a manager who pulled some strings and I needed a job). A holiday season temp kid started working there, and we got to talking. Unfortunately he was let go (followed shortly by me no-call-no-showing), and I never got a chance to purchase a glass piece from his friend.
There must be another glass blower locally, or the same person, because my friend had his pipe fixed by a friend of a friend of a friend. It's a Tommy Chong piece, so it's pretty much a collectors item at this point. Unfortunately their way of fixing it was to extend it from a short piece to a much longer piece, with clear glass in the middle.
Still better than no piece at all.
