I don't think heard him really talked too much trash before this fight. I think people dislike him, because of the cocky way he fights, myself included. Especially since the way he fought in their first fight, was one of the most disrespectful "performances" he ever had.
Notice the fake "Oh, I'm hurt and about to be KO'd", lowering of hands and drop of the body shenanigans. Of course followed shortly by the real thing
I can't say for sure that was the most arrogant performance he ever put on. There was his fight in Abu Dhabi. The son (Prince ?) of the Abu Dhabi runs a government owned entertainment company. He/they purchased a 10% stake in the UFC, and decided to have an event there, and built as huge outdoor stadium for that one show (took it down the next day). Anderson decided his opponent wasn't shit, so he did absolutely nothing in the fight, and was even warned by the ref about constantly backing away from his opponent. The UFC threatened to fire him if he ever did it again, and they have no plans to
ever go back to Abu Dhabi, because it was so disrespectful & boring.
But he got away with it for 7 years, doing the same thing, he was that good. Karma will get ya every time.
I absolutely agree with the Pacquiao/Mayweather thing. That ship sailed long ago, even more so after Pacman's KO loss. Mayweather absolutely ducked him, in fact leading up to the Canelo fight, he admitted that his team chose lesser opponents for him to fight. Then he tried to make it seem like a noble thing, because he "made a lot of lesser known fighters a lot of money".
