I took my Windstar to a garrage to paint all the underbody with Dinitrol stuff to protect against of stones and corrosion last month. All the inside space was filled with some Dinitrol Wax. The rear and front sub frame was painted as well, but I'm wondering what should happen from inside the U profile which was used for rear axle. There was no problem from outside as I looked before painting. Maybe I should install some additional long U profile with some brackets from the bottom so if the axle fails, it will not be divided to 2 parts so I can stop the van safelly.

Is there anybody who improoved the rear axle stability adding some metal?
