Bill says 12/27.
They pull the money on 12/23.
Acorn is suddenly overdrafted (having planned for the payment to hit right when direct deposit does)
Acorn calls customer service to complain. Here is a brief excerpt from my convo this fine morning
CS: your auto payment is set up to pull on the 21st of every month
Acorn: well why in the fuck doesnt the bill say 12/21 then?
CS: well we can set it up to pull on the 27th if that's better for you
Acorn: That's not the point. I want the paper bill to say the date that money will be taken from me
CS: well sir, the reason the funds are withdrawan early is because it takes 24-48 hours for processing and we need to ensure the funds are available with the bank
Acorn: ...that has nothing to do with my complaint
CS: *silence*
Acorn: My complaint is that the date on the paper statement sent to me, the one I use to remind myself that there will be a significant withdrawal, that paper statement is not in line with reality. I want that paper to say the day that money will be taken, not some arbitrary day where you guys say you need to receive it. Is that possible?
CS: I will update the notes on your account to reflect this
Acorn: So is that confirmation that it will happen?
CS: Yes sir, I am updating the notes now
I get the feeling this isnt over
Merry fucking christmas everybody
