If you want both performance and fuel economy - go with a Mercedes GLK250 4Matic. Its an oil burner that'll do 0 - 60 in 7 seconds and gets superb fuel economy. If you want more performance and a bit less fuel economy, try out a GLK350 4Matic. It's now packing 306 HP and it'll do 0 - 60 in the low 5's.
