Since you are getting spark, it's not the distributor.....either you have a bad ignition module in the distributor which is not providing a reference signal, you have an open wire between the distributor and the ECM, or you need an ECM....
You would need a scan tool to see if you are receiving the reference(rpm) signal from the ignition module in the distributor.....If your car has a tach, that may show rpm's while cranking, but the tach gets it's signal from the coil not the ignition module in the distributor.....
