I cannot find a strainer no where in the system and none of the parts stores list one. So i did find out that the system has a expansion valve and i was wondering if it could be hung open or closed to , if open wouldn't it be like an open coolant thermostat and not letting the freon stay in the evap long enough. All help i thank you for in advance. Almost forgot when ac stops cooling you can stop the car come to an idle cut the ac off and back on and it will start cooling again until you drive off.
you need to check the low high side pressures and report what found when at idle rpm and at the 2000 rpm.

could be air in the system. this would cause high pressures and erratic cooling.
