1996 Jimmy trans issues

Back working on my stepson's 96 Jimmy again. Last week I replaced both of the transmission solenoids because it popped up a code P0758 solenoid B and was slipping, refusing to shift into 2nd, etc. Once the solenoids were replaced, it shifted/ran just fine. Yesterday morning the SES light came on as soon as I started it. Took it to my buddy to read the code and....P0758...but the thing seemed to shift OK. He erased the code and the light stayed off, so I'm thinking it was either a glitch or maybe some dirt went through the solenoid, and not a "hard" code. I changed the filter and put new fluid in when I installed the new solenoids by the way. I will say that the trans seems to shift really hard into 2nd and OD now, almost like my old street racing days when I'd put a radical shift kit in the turbo 350's.

Has anyone else had issues with popping the same code after the solenoids were replaced?

This is not the only issue the Jimmy has, but lets deal with one mess at a time.
