That's what it appears! The darned thing turns but it won't come out, like it was pushed in to stay. I wish they brought back the old design, it was so easy to check, a few seconds! I was reading about something like that on a Chevy Equinox, and the solution was to yank out the PCV black cover, then drill 4 holes into the valve cover and use a replacement kit that attaches with four Phillips screws. But I don't like the idea of drilling into the valve cover and allowing the drilled shavings into the engine. Yikes!

This could be an expensive check of the PCV, unless there is some easy trick to checking the PCV valve! I can't think of one.
