My 1989 Chevy C1500 Silverado, 5.7 has just over 370000 miles. Besides for some minor repairs it has been a rock. One item that started creaping up is the wipers acting eratic. When you hit the switch to pulse once it will not shut off for a few minutes and sometime you have to turn the key off to get it to stop at all. After researching the problem this issue was common problem in the chevy trucks up till the late 90'S. It appears the wiper pulse module developes bad connections or cracks in the board. Easy enough fix as the board, according to videos and the other sources, is located with the wiper motor and just basically pops out and is easlily replaced by a board available at Autozone or on the internet. I ordered the board and went to replace only to find mine is not the board that everyone else has. The board I have is long and skinny and the replacement boars is more square. I can't seem to find this particular board anywere. Has anyone else ran into this issue and have a source for the board?

see if you can find a part number on the board then do a search. I got a board for the 1994 S10 PU. and it was a square shape. wiper board relay was the issue. sometimes the wipers worked sometimes not very erratic..the new board fixed it 20 USD at auto zone with a warranty.......
