Re: Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

I was very happy with the topfairing molded in 1 piece. But somehow the front mudguard and the rear fairing are still 2 pieces. So I still had a nasty gap after glueing them together. I had to fill it with putty and sanded myself a headache. But after some spray filler the gap wasn't visible anymore. I primered all the parts after this.

I also removed the chrome from the framework and rearlink. I also primered these parts.

Now I painted the first colour. VW Blue Antracite.

The masking template is very handy, but also a bit difficult. You can chose between 2 painting designs so you need to follow the dotted line on the template very carefully cause else you ruining them. I was concentraded at the time of cutting them so I did made any faults (yet)

After placing them I painted the VW Black Magic.

The frame and rearlink were painted Zero Paints Silver. I dries like semigloss finish which looks very nice and I don't need to clearcoat it anymore.

I also made a dryfit of the fairing to get an idea of the bike when it's completed

Hopefully I can add the decals soon and clearcoat these part!

Kris.
