Re: fuel pump trick
Oldest trick in the book--the Whaaaaap test. DC motor's armatures go off center as they wear and stop in a bad spot- whaaaaaping them puts them back on center and theyh run. I've had people whaaap their tanks for 6 months- one out of 10 or so starts--Yes the pump is worn out and needs to be replaced.
The whaaaaap test also works on starter motor and blower motors
