I think the white should be a bit larger, proof white occupies more space between letters is that yours are a bit offset with paint: your "I" is entirely inside red but on the real car it's half above white half above red.
That's not really a big problem as I think letters could be cut one by one and place with a bit more space between them, no matter if white surrounding is thick enough...
And talking for myself I stll think to change for 84 car with big white rectangle under Nissan letters !!
You know, real problem is that the more perfect your work is the higher our expectations will be !!!
