Yes. Just two very short beads of RTV at the hump over the distributor. The FSM shows it very clearly.

I have no idea about the auto tranny. The oil pan doesn't have a traditional gasket. It uses only RTV silicone to seal it. Be sure you clean off all the old RTV and don't mar the sealing surfaces when you scrape off the old goo.
