oil consumption and plug fouling are big failures with the GM experiment of fuel economy with these engines.

I'm with you jCat, ead nothing but issues with the 2007 and up Silverado, my 2000 is super reliable at 243K miles. Won't be buying another GM either, IMO they should have let them go bankrupt.
