Re: Exhaust and engine accoustics for asthetics and performance
Your post is too long, I didn't read a quarter of it.
My advice is---
A) To run thin wall titanium pipes back to the rear of the car and have the two pipes exit very close to each other.
2) Fab a 180* exhaust and enjoy the sound of 2 four cylinder engines running in close formation.
C) Run individual intake carbs , like Webers, so the intake noise will drown out the nasty V8 burble.
4.5) Buy a flat plane crank and its associated cam, then revel in the fact that all your interior trim is unscrewing itself, and how it sounds like two 4 cylinder cars side by side.
E!) Buy the book "Scientific Design Of Exhaust & Intake Systems" by Smith. Marvel in the knowledge that you can get it all wrong, and can easily design in flat spots and foul spark plugs.
Z) Muffle it down so you can't hear it anyway---that's what I did on my flat plane V8.
