well, there cold be several things to look at. first would be the throttle position sensor. if faulty will cause your exact problem. next would be fuel pressure test. lack of fuel at higher rpms. or the ignition control module. you could also have a plug or plug wire jumping spark to ground under load causing loss of a cylinder at increased loads.
let me check the cruise control lay out and ill get back with you on that issue. could just be a blown fuse. ever check your cruise cntrl fuse?
