Yes...the replacement cost is scary. Is there a meaningful way to test the system or shocks?

I also have a 2005 Suburban (LT) that had the autoride system. I tried to see if it worked by putting about 1000+ ponds of kids and stuff in the back, but couldn't see any difference. When I took it for new tires they found that the whole bracket for the pump activator was missing --- therefore the system could not have been working. I put HD spring/shock overloads in the back, and when my son got the AR shocks out he found he could push them down without too much resistance. We never could get the pump to work anyway.

So, for any of these Yukons, is there a guaranteed way to see if the system actually works?
