Awesome film.
I disagree though about the only alterations from the book being minor; there were some huuuuuge alterations, which actually took me by surprise, and caused me enough dismay to stop me enjoying the film as much as I should have. I shall have to see it again - then I'll know the changed bits, and I can concentrate on enjoying the film, rather than getting annoyed
