My understanding is that the factory module plugs into an existing wiring harness. Modules I saw for '01+ on eBay were around $40, then add on a fob or two and grand total should be under $100 without hacking up factory wiring and only a few minutes total time investment. I don't have time to mess around with an aftermarket kit, which means paying someone else to do it to the tune of $175+ based on quotes I got from the two shops in town that do that type of work.
Nutshell: definitely want to go with factory parts, but thanks for the input.
