If you think its flooded hold the accelerator pedal to the floor this stops the injectors from squirting fuel into clyinder.

Can you explain what happened when the original pump died. Were you driving or just would not start, that sort of thing. How was it diiagnosed that the fuel pump was bad??? I realize you said that you have spark, is it blue in color or orange. Wheredid you test for spark??
