Can you heat the cowling and push them out without ruining the paint?

Thank you for your kind reply. Heating cowling sounds very dangerous.
I will try it when I finally failed.

For the decals issue, I painted the fairings with Tamiya Spray TS51 racing blue. And after decaling(decal was tamiya's cartograf printed one I remember.)... used Gunje's Super Clear II on it. I managed to handle the problem with clearcoat.

At first, I doubt that the cowling is warped after painting and clearcoating. But comparing with the unpainted part the warpage was not serious.
Now I think it's mainly because of those added detail parts.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Though the fairing looks slightly warped after clearcoat, however, I think it's definitely not a clearcoat issue.

Yes. you are right. Just too many added parts. And the fairing seems to be warped slightly after clearcoat.
Tamiya must have not considered those additional parts and there's no room for those details.
Inside of the Tamiya YZR-M1 2005 fairing, that groove(?) in the red circle is for the part in the red circle in the photo below.
So there's no room for that oxygen sensor cable. And the other parts in the yellow circles are holding the fairing away from the frame.
Actually I carved out the inner side at the begining of this project. However, it needs more room for the cable and other parts and I have to
carve out the fairing more.
It's very dangerous work and I made a tool to check the thickness.
And temporarily remove the damper.
After those big operations.....
I managed to fit the cowlings.
However, they are not fit completely, and more work is needed to reinstall the damper.
I'm afraid that it will be very hard work.
