Moved to correct forum.

The rating on your new cam, 1000-4500 IMO would be fine for a daily driver. The rpm ratings are to help distinguish between race cams and non-race cams. Race cams would go, for example, from 2500-7000 rpm.

You can always check with your supplier to verify.
